The University of Bristol is delighted to announce the International Office Scholarships for new international students for 2016 entry.
The University of Bristol’s International Office Scholarships is open to all International students from around the world and will be applied to any Bachelors or Masters degree programme offered at the University of Bristol.
Please note that for the current academic year, the university would not be offering this scholarship for masters students for this year. Only undergraduate International Office Scholarship awards will be granted for the 2016 academic study.
To be considered for this scholarship, all applicants must:
- be classed as overseas students for fee purposes.
- already hold an offer of a place on a full-time undergraduate or masters programme at the University of Bristol.
- may be from any discipline.
Sponsored students and students in receipt of another scholarship/award over £3000 are not eligible to apply.
Current University of Bristol students are not eligible to apply.

Number of awards
A total of FIVE (5) scholarship awards will be granted for 2016 entry. Ten scholarship grants were awarded for the immediate past academic session, thus: 5 to undergraduates and 5 to masters.
For the Undergraduate level, the scholarships will be applied to the first THREE years of Bachelors study; while for the Postgraduate level, it will be applied to the ONE year of Masters program.
The scholarships value are awarded thus:
- Five scholarships of £8,500 each will be available for prospective undergraduate students.
This is divided as follows: £3,000 in Year One, £3,000 in Year Two and £2,500 in Year Three. No awards will be made for subsequent years.
- Five scholarships of £8,500 each will be available for prospective one year taught Masters students (DOES NOT APPLY FOR THE 2016 YEAR).
Method of Application
All applicants must apply online. Applicants may (or may not) be required to answer the following question:
“Why do you think it is important for a university to have students from around the world?” (max. 350 words). Simply, click the application link on the official website and follow/answer all the onscreen prompts/questions to submit your application.

The scholarship application deadline is Friday 10th June, 2016 (17h00 UK time).
All successful applicants to this scholarship will be informed of the outcome in July 2016.
